Korea 1981 (Crisis Committee)
Military general Chun Doo-hwan has seized the presidency of South Korea following the assassination of its longtime ruler, President Park Chung-hee. The new president has quickly taken control of the government and instituted a new constitution for Korea, eliminating rivals and proclaiming dictatorial rule. As the members of his government, you are tasked with maintaining Korea’s security from both external and internal threats, which are numerous. Despite its lofty goals, the government also finds itself doing more mundane tasks, from instituting infrastructure to planning for the 1988 Seoul Olympics. The members of the body must work to navigate through Korea’s most turbulent political period, while opposition grows stronger, even within the government itself.
